Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Procurement Supervisor in Sedalia, MO, to lead a high-volume purchasing team within a manufacturing setting. You will manage inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and drive process improvements to support production schedules and on-time delivery.

The role requires progressive purchasing experience, Excel proficiency, and ERP system expertise. A strong focus on leadership, planning, and cross-functional collaboration will help you excel in this onsite position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with purchasing experience.
• 3+ years of progressive purchasing or buying experience.
• 3+ years using Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis.
• 2+ years supervising or managing employees.
• 2+ years using an ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or a comparable platform.

Responsibilities

• Procurement: Lead a team that plans, purchases and controls inventory to meet the Master Production Schedule and backlog.
• Forecasts: Review shortages and adjust materials demand and schedules.
• Suppliers: Develop relationships and source alternative suppliers for cost efficiency.
• Customer Supply: Plan and purchase materials for on-time customer shipments.
• Quality: Ensure purchased parts meet specifications and monitor supplier quality trends.
• Management: Develop and maintain a high performance team through coaching and goal setting.
