Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Procurement Supervisor in Sedalia, MO. You will lead a high-volume purchasing team supporting a large manufacturing operation, driving on-time deliveries and optimal inventory levels.

You will mentor buyers, manage supplier relationships, and improve purchasing processes while leveraging ERP systems and Excel for data-driven decisions. Manufacturing experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with purchasing experience.
• 3+ years purchasing or buying experience.
• 3+ years Excel including advanced formulas.
• 2+ years supervising or managing employees.
• 2+ years ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, JDE).

Responsibilities

• Procurement: Manage a team that plans, purchases and controls inventory to meet the Master Production Schedule and reduce inventory.
• Forecasts: Review shortage forecasts and expedite delivery; adjust material demand forecasts.
• Suppliers: Develop relationships with suppliers for cost-effective supply; source alternatives.
• Customer Supply: Plan and purchase materials for customer requirements to ensure on-time shipments.
• Quality: Ensure parts meet specifications; analyze supplier quality trends; find alternatives.
• Management: Develop and maintain a high-performance team through coaching and goals.
