Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a procurement professional to review requisitions, coordinate with vendors, and manage purchase orders in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining records, expediting deliveries, and negotiating terms with suppliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience acceptable.
• 1-year certificate or 3 years related experience required.
• Ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong reading comprehension of safety and instruction manuals.
• Proficient with CMMS and ERP systems (Syteline/IMaint).

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and verify authorization signatures.
• Confer with vendors for price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Prepare purchase orders and obtain signatures.
• Follow up on orders and update system deliveries.
• Set up and negotiate new vendors and payment terms.
• Receive notices from Receiving when goods are delivered.
• Maintain procurement records: items, vendors, costs, and delivery.
• Address defective goods with stakeholders to determine corrective action.
• Expedite delivery of goods to users.
