Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Buyer to source raw materials, parts, equipment, and services essential for operations. The role involves analyzing price trends, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining records.

You will support bid processes and may lead junior buyers, reporting to the Program Management Manager. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in procurement, experience in manufacturing, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Understanding procurement processes and interfacing with customers and suppliers.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize procurement activities for parts, raw materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate supplier qualification to customer drawings and specs.
• Prepare, review, and approve purchase orders; track supplier status.
• Assist in making/buy decisions and manage procurement systems to track costs and delivery.
• Lead or support special projects as needed.
