Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions seeks a Procurement Specialist to support procurement and supply chain activities on large-scale hyperscale data center and infrastructure projects. You will work with project management, estimating, preconstruction, controls, engineering, operations and field leadership to source materials, coordinate supplier relationships, and track deliveries.

The role requires strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and customer-focused communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 2+ years of procurement or related experience.
• Experience supporting procurement on construction, industrial, mission-critical, EPC, utility, power, or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, purchasing, logistics coordination.
• Ability to travel approximately 75% and support long-term onsite assignments.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities throughout project planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout.
• Assist with sourcing, supplier solicitation, bid evaluations, and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate material and equipment purchases in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
• Maintain procurement logs, vendor records, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
• Support vendor and subcontractor relationship management activities.
• Help identify procurement risks, supply chain constraints, and delivery challenges.
• Track material releases, purchase orders, fabrication status, shipping updates, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate communications between suppliers, vendors, project teams, and field personnel.
• Maintain procurement documentation, vendor records, contracts, and project files.
• Monitor material lead times, supply chain conditions, and delivery commitments.
• Support procurement reporting, forecasting activities, and project status updates.
• Assist with receiving, tracking, and resolving procurement‑related issues throughout project execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency, consistency, and performance.
