Job summary

Vallen USA is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing of stock and non-stock items, ensuring price, quality and reliability of supply align with the company standards. The role may support distribution centers, warehouses, clients, or vendors as needed.

You will review forecasts, place orders, monitor supplier performance, and coordinate returns while building strong supplier relationships and resolving payables discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in Procurement preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.
• Experience includes: customer service, MS-Office, ERP/GAINS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Review inventory forecasts and replenishment recommendations.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor orders.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of supplied products; coordinate returns or replacements.
• Negotiate and coordinate vendor returns for aging/expiring inventory.
• Follow up on purchase orders with vendors and communicate status to customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal/external customers.
• Research and resolve accounts payable nonconformance.
