Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking an On-site Buyer to support a customer location in procurement of products and materials. You will ensure price, quality, delivery and reliability meet the organization’s standards while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities include forecasting, replenishment, order placement, supplier negotiations, and issue resolution. Ideal candidates have 1+ year procurement experience and may hold CPM certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of procurement experience preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure products and materials to meet demand and supplier performance.
• Review and approve forecasts and replenishment recommendations.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Negotiate with vendors and manage returns for aging or excess inventory.
• Communicate order status and resolve delivery or quality issues.
