Job summary

Teague is seeking a Procurement Agent in Washington to manage the full procurement lifecycle—from requisitions to payment. You will work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely, accurate purchases of materials, equipment, and services for project execution.

You will maintain inventory, build strong vendor relationships, and identify risks before they impact work. This hands-on role requires organization, communication, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of relevant procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive vendor relationships while providing a high level of customer service.
• Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively, with a solution-oriented, analytical approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requests.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to compile data and prepare reports.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; working understanding of basic accounting principals and processes.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand with Shipping & Receiving to maintain inventory levels that support project execution.
• Evaluate vendor pricing, quality, and service to help ensure Teague receives competitive terms.
• Identify and resolve vendor issues, including damaged, delayed, or back-ordered goods.
• Investigate and reconcile purchase order and invoice discrepancies with vendors and Accounts Payable.
• Gather purchasing and inventory data and prepare reports to support planning and decision-making.
• Own the end-to-end procurement process from requisitions through Accounts Payable.
