Job summary

STG Inc., based in Anchorage, AK, seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage requisitions, issue purchase orders, and coordinate with vendors and field teams for remote construction projects.

The role requires strong procurement knowledge, experience with Costpoint, and the ability to drive company vehicles. You will support logistics, inventory, and supplier relations in a fast-paced office and yard environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; valid state driver’s license.
• Two (2) years of procurement and/or purchasing experience in construction preferred.
• Experience with Costpoint or an electronic purchasing system preferred.
• Hazmat Transportation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requisitions for operations and projects.
• Issue and manage purchase orders with vendors; confirm pricing and lead times.
• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and field staff for order accuracy.
• Research parts and supplies to identify cost-effective procurement options.
• Expedite orders and track shipments; resolve backorders and discrepancies.
• Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver materials as needed.
