Job summary

JCQ Services, Inc. seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing across construction, warehousing, office, marketing, catering, and events.

You will work with project teams, vendors, and departments to ensure cost‑effective, timely, and compliant procurement, with emphasis on vendor performance and risk management. The role requires 2–4 years in procurement, strong negotiation, and proficiency with ERP/software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, construction management, business administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
• Working knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor sourcing.
• Strong negotiation and contract coordination skills.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of market dynamics, material price trends, and sound business judgment.
• Experience with procurement software (e.g., Procore, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, tools, and consumables per project specs and timelines.
• Purchase warehousing supplies and support inventory replenishment and safety stock levels.
• Procure office supplies, equipment, and furnishings; source marketing materials and branded merchandise.
• Coordinate catering and event purchasing, venues, vendors, and equipment rentals.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify reliable vendors; maintain vendor portfolio for spend transparency.
• Support negotiation to secure favorable pricing, terms, and payment terms.
• Track vendor performance, delivery reliability, and quality; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain purchase orders and records in procurement system.
• Assist accounting with invoice matching, PO discrepancies, and spend reconciliation.
• Analyze purchasing costs, trends, and benchmarking for cost-saving opportunities.
• Identify supply chain risks and support risk-minimizing strategies.
• Collaborate across departments to align purchasing with goals.
• Utilize approved AI tools to improve procurement workflow and data organization.
