Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking an intermediate-procurement professional to support the Biology department. You will process purchase requests in Buy.IU, place orders, and manage invoices and expense reports using Emburse. You will collaborate with the Biology purchasing team and monitor procurement activities across campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years in a relevant field.
• Purchasing experience preferred.
• Experience with IU systems and policies.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requests in Buy.IU under moderate supervision.
• Place online orders and process expense reports in Emburse.
• Review invoices for accuracy and generate receipts.
• Answer questions about purchases, vendors, and policies.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal customers on purchases.
• Oversee inventory and coordinate reorder, receipt, and returns.
• Collaborate with Biology purchasing team as needed.
• Monitor procurement processes and report issues to supervisor.
• Prepare reports on outstanding procurement documents and payments.
