Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX seeks an experienced procurement professional to source machinery, equipment, and materials, negotiate terms, and monitor supplier performance. You will analyze price trends and ensure timely delivery, with responsibility for RFPs and bid packages as needed.

The role requires a related degree with several years of professional experience, knowledge of SAP or Procure to Pay systems, and strong communication skills within a collaborative, multi-tasking

Standard Job Description

Sources, negotiates and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Monitors performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

Basic Qualifications

Experience with Supply Chain and Subcontract management concepts, practices, and/or standards. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.

Desired Skills

Familiar with Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP) or equivalent purchasing/ERP system, such as Procure to Pay. Works independently and in a collaborative team-based environment. Experience with multi-tasking and managing competing priorities. Experience with analyzing problems and recommending solutions. Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS). Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-motivated. Learning subcontract management skills/practices. Experience with negotiations. Ability to make business-based decisions. Procurement experience within aerospace technologies or a similar industry. Written and verbal communication and organization skills.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $59900.00 - $111300.00
