Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent 2 in Richmond, VA to support procurement for high-visibility projects.

You will coordinate between the procurement team and internal stakeholders, manage sourcing and vendor negotiations, and help ensure on-time, within-scope delivery of materials and services. The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, strong computer skills, and solid communication abilities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with OEMs and fabricators.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and SharePoint; strong Excel skills.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders including executive team, engineering, sales, and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with program/project teams to manage high-visibility, high-value projects.
• Plan during bidding phase: interpret specs, develop RFPs, evaluate quotes, finalize agreements.
