Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Procurement Manager in San Diego to lead a team of Procurement Specialists. You will balance ~70% hands-on order processing with 30% people leadership, coaching, and governance to deliver accurate, scalable procurement for our clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required – HS Diploma.
• Preferred – AA or above.
• 2-5 years of people management experience.
• 5+ years IT purchasing/procurement experience preferably in the VAR/Distribution space.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Procurement Specialists team; 70% focus on orders.
• Ensure data integrity and process discipline across procurement lifecycle.
• Resolve internal and external customer satisfaction issues.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of procurements staff.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procurement processes.
• Support month/quarter/year close activities.
• Identify areas for best-practice improvements with Sr Manager.
