Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in West Valley City, Utah, seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist to ensure all commitments from demand planning groups are within the agreed product lead times; you will resolve delays, manage POs, expedite, and monitor lead times. Qualifications

• This is an intermediate level position with required interpersonal and analytical abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally prefer 2–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to pass any federal/state/local background checks and tests.
• Ensure commitments from demand planning groups are within agreed product lead times.
• Resolve delays in providing needed material within the agreed timeline.
• Manage lead times of all POs placed on behalf of the customer; report on lead times.
• Expedite POs as needed and ensure the recommit process is followed.
• Review backlog and coordinate exculations with supplier; review recommits and rejections.
• Review suppliers' build/ship plans to meet PO commit dates.
• Monitor on-time shipment (OTS) and document issues; report weekly.
• Schedule orders outside lead time with suppliers and identify reasons for delays.
