Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics seeks a Senior Team Lead, Purchasing to lead a team of purchasing professionals responsible for sourcing, managing, and optimizing transportation procurement activities. You will partner with Operations, Finance, and Procurement leadership to develop strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is typically required.
• Minimum five years in purchasing, procurement, transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations with leadership experience.
• Experience in transportation and logistics, carrier management, freight procurement, or cost analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of purchasing professionals with performance feedback.
• Develop and execute strategies to support transportation operations and cost optimization.
• Manage relationships with transportation suppliers, carriers, and service providers.
• Support carrier sourcing, rate negotiations, and supplier performance management.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and other departments to align procurement with requirements.
• Analyze spend, supplier performance, market trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor purchasing metrics and provide leadership with regular reporting.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and supplier agreements.
• Drive process improvements and supplier performance enhancements.
