Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Public Health is seeking a procurement and supply chain supervisor to oversee the DPH and DES laboratory support operations, including mailroom, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and test materials.

You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with purchase regulations, and coordinate with state couriers and external partners. A background in supervisory procurement and inventory control is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and related supervisory work experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for work experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs procurement, mailroom and supply room activities for the laboratories.
• Oversees contracts related to procurement and supply; ensures compliance.
• Manages receiving, storage and distribution of office supplies; maintains inventory.
• Supervises staff and performs performance appraisals; handles promotions/salary actions.
• Coordinates and ensures proper mailing and distribution of laboratory supplies and test results.
• Performs duties and special projects, including travel or emergencies as needed.
