Egan Company in Champlin, MN is seeking a Procurement Intern to support purchasing for industrial control panel design and manufacturing. You will assist with supplier research, material returns, and process improvements, gaining exposure to engineering and production coordination.

The internship emphasizes analytical skills, strong communication, and detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment, with a hands-on learning experience in procurement and supply chain functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the purchasing of materials through our suppliers for projects and products associated with our industrial control panel design and manufacturing
• Assist engineering and project team members with researching and selecting alternative materials and/or suppliers to ensure on time delivery
• Return unused and overstock materials to suppliers
• Work with suppliers to improve our quoting and purchasing processes
• Assist with the implementation of new estimating tools and process improvements
• Support production coordinator by managing material shortages, reprioritization of work activities, providing supply chain updates, and assisting with meeting on time delivery metrics

Education

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in engineering, accounting, business economics, or related fields
