Job summary

Gertens Family of Businesses seeks a Supply Chain/Production Intern to shadow and support our Production Coordinator to run operations efficiently and in line with safety and local trade regulations. The intern will plan production based on customer needs, support supply chain systems, handle administrative tasks, and track orders for on-time deliveries.

The paid internship runs from May 2027 to August 2027 and is based in Eagan, MN, with some travel to our main location in Delano, MN.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior in college pursuing Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing.
• Solid analytical skills and self-motivated.
• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist/Support production department daily.
• Participate in daily planning meetings.
• Generate process and procedure documents for critical supply chain functions.
• Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis.
• Assist in other projects and/or processes as identified during the internship.

Job description

Gertens Family of Businesses is seeking a Supply Chain/Production Intern to shadow and support our Production Coordinator to run operations efficiently and in accordance with safety as well as local trade regulations. The intern will also be involved with planning of production based on customer needs, supporting supply chain systems, administrative tasks and tracking orders to ensure prompt deliveries. This paid internship will run from May 2027 - August 2027 and will be based in Eagan, MN with some travel to our main production location in Delano, MN. Housing accommodations are not provided. During the internship you can expect to:

• Assist / Support production department on a daily basis
• Participate in daily planning meetings
• Generate process and procedure documents for critical supply chain functions
• Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis
• Potential areas for specific work:
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Process optimization
• Perform a study, analyze data, and present results
• Assist in other projects and/or processes as identified during the internship

Individual Intern Project with presentation sharing knowledge gained and benefits of the internship experience and project results.

Required Qualifications
