Job summary

Georgia-Pacific seeks a Procurement Forester to support Camden, Corrigan, Diboll, and Pineland, TX. This office-based role requires proximity to one of these mills and involves evaluating wood purchasing opportunities and pricing strategies.

You will analyze timber data, automate processes, and collaborate with the Wood & Fiber Supply team to ensure compliant, cost-effective material flow for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR at least 3 years’ experience in Forestry, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate wood purchasing opportunities using analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Analyze datasets related to timber pricing, delivery schedules, and market trends to support informed decision-making.
• Continuously improve analytical processes and tools through automation and innovation.
• Implement sourcing and pricing strategies pertaining to procurement of wood and fiber for manufacturing facilities.
• Build mutually beneficial business relationships within operating areas.
• Drive process improvements and present innovative solutions to recurring issues.
