Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Procurement Forester to support our Gurdon and Fordyce, AR facilities. This office-based role requires proximity to either location and a focus on timber sourcing for manufacturing.

You will analyze wood pricing, schedules and market trends, apply sourcing strategies, build supplier relationships and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR at least 1 year of experience in Forestry, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate wood purchasing opportunities using analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Analyze datasets related to timber pricing, delivery schedules, and market trends.
• Implement sourcing and pricing strategies for wood and fiber procurement.
• Develop mutually beneficial supplier relationships and drive process improvements.
• Ensure all transactions are properly documented and compliant with health and safety policies.
