Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Procurement Forester to support facilities in Camden, Diboll, Pineland, and Corrigan, TX. The role is office-based at Camden, Diboll, or Pineland, requiring proximity to one of these sites.

The candidate will evaluate wood purchasing opportunities, analyze timber datasets, and implement sourcing strategies to support manufacturing plants while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR at least 3 years' experience in Forestry, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate wood purchasing opportunities using analytical problem-solving.
• Analyze datasets on timber pricing, delivery schedules, and market trends.
• Improve analytical processes and tools through automation.
• Implement sourcing and pricing strategies for wood and fiber.
• Build mutually beneficial relationships within operating areas.
• Drive process improvements and present innovative solutions.
• Ensure all transactions are documented and managed.
• Coordinate with WFS to monitor raw material acquisition and costs.
