Job summary

CB&I is seeking an Expeditor to initiate and maintain contact with vendors after PO award, ensuring schedules, deliverables, and proper documentation are met. You will interact with Engineering, Operations and Estimating while reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager.

The role emphasizes maintaining vendor schedule, coordinating with CB&I Logistics, and expediting payments and closeout activities to maximize efficiency and asset performance.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical/Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Proactively embraces and promotes the company's HSE requirements and culture.
• Monitors issuance of Purchase Orders and initiates communication with Vendors to ensure schedule adherence and deliverables.
• Issues initial contact email to vendors after PO issuance, listing requirements, expectations and key contacts.
• Follows up periodically during order execution to confirm schedule and deliverables.
• Coordinates with vendor and CB&I Logistics near shipment to ensure proper pickup and delivery of goods.
• Oversees order closeout, including payment of invoices and receipt of all deliverables.
• Escalates vendor problems and delays to facilitate resolution and keep vendors on schedule.
• Keeps detailed notes on vendor status and communication in reporting systems.
• Represents the department in meetings with other functions/management.
• Suggests and implements improvements to tools, systems and software to improve efficiency.
