Job summary

CB&I in The Woodlands, TX is seeking an Expeditor to initiate and maintain contact with vendors after PO award, ensuring that schedules, documentation, and delivery requirements are met.

Reporting to the Sr Procurement Manager, you will collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Estimating, issue kickoff emails, monitor progress, escalate issues, and help improve procurement tools and processes.

A BA/BS in a related field and 1–3 years of experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.
• 1‑3 years of procurement/expediter experience or entry level with degree.
• Ability to complete pre-employment requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain vendor contact after PO award to obtain required documents and ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Issue initial contact emails listing requirements, expectations, and key contacts.
• Monitor PO progress, follow up on milestones, and escalate issues to keep vendors on schedule.
• Coordinate with CB&I Logistics for pick‑up and delivery as shipments near completion.
• Oversee order closeout, including payment processing and receipt of deliverables.
• Maintain detailed vendor status notes in reporting systems.
• Represent procurement in cross‑functional meetings and seek process improvements.
• Support leadership competencies and professional development activities.
• Assist with mentoring, rotations, and growth opportunities within the team.
