Job summary

Wagner Lumber in Owego, NY is hiring a Procurement Coordinator to own day-to-day purchasing, receiving and inventory to keep the mill running. The role manages supplier relations for MRO parts, and ensures accurate Fiix CMMS inventory across 2,000+ SKUs.

Responsibilities include processing purchase requests, issuing RFQs, placing POs, receiving shipments, and performing cycle counts while maintaining safety and documentation. Strong industrial procurement experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in supply chain, business, or related field is a plus.
• Background in sawmill, woodworking, or heavy industrial maintenance environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processing parts and consumables purchase requests from maintenance and production.
• Issuing RFQs to vendors and evaluating quotes on price, lead time, and quality.
• Placing purchase orders through approved vendor channels and tracking open POs.
• Receiving shipments, verifying part numbers and quantities, stocking Fiix locations.
• Maintaining inventory across 2,000+ active SKUs in Fiix CMMS.
• Running cycle counts, reconciling variances, adjusting reorder points by usage trends.
• Supporting kiosk and scanning workflows for inventory transactions and Fiix rollout.
• Managing day-to-day relationships with key MRO vendors.
• Escalating sourcing problems, quality issues, and warranty claims; identifying alternates.
• Maintaining receipt documentation; adhering to safety policies.
