Job summary

MEI is seeking a Procurement Coordinator in Albany, OR to source vendors, issue purchase orders, and manage supplier relationships. The role partners with Accounting and Operations to ensure procurement compliance, timely deliveries, and accurate documentation.

The candidate will collaborate with internal teams, onboard new vendors with required documentation, generate requisitions, and support IT material requests while maintaining data integrity in the ERP system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills; ability to source and maintain vendor relations.
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes and able to learn company procedures.
• Ability to disseminate technical data to various staff levels; works well under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source and onboard vendors, maintaining relationships and documentation.
• Create purchase orders and requisitions; track orders in ERP and ensure data accuracy.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery for supplier contracts and orders.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Operations to ensure alignment across departments.
• Assist with IT-related material requests and verify approvals before sourcing.
• Ensure inventory management and vendor performance review processes are followed.
