Job summary

ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions in Milwaukee is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement of raw materials, components, and services within a manufacturing environment. You will create and process purchase orders, monitor inventory, and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to keep operations flowing smoothly.

This role emphasizes vendor communication, timely pricing quotes, order tracking, and adherence to purchasing policies.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, delivery schedules, and order status.
• Track and expedite orders to meet production deadlines.
• Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, or deliveries.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and system data.
• Assist with vendor setup, performance tracking, and basic supplier evaluations.
• Coordinate with accounts payable to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and sourcing projects as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activity, open orders, and supplier performance.
• Assist with audits, inventory counts, and continuous improvement efforts.
