Job summary

Komatsu in Milwaukee is seeking a Buyer/Planner II to plan, procure, and manage materials for the Loading Business Unit. You will ensure orders meet quality specs and due dates, expediting as needed, and prevent production stoppages by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes cost control, inventory management, and supplier development, with SAP-based PO creation and KPI-driven performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Business preferred; experience may offset.
• 2+ years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in ERP environment (SAP a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical/critical thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create and communicate purchase orders based on customer demands in SAP.
• Manage supplier performance and drive recovery to meet KPIs.
• Resolve PO and invoice discrepancies including pricing, quantity, and shipping/receiving issues.
• Coordinate the disposition of rejected parts and recover associated costs.
• Support cost reduction, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
