Job summary

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Well-organized with time management and detail orientation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to negotiate pricing with vendors effectively.
• Self-driven; capable of working independently and in teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders (POs) to vendors, monitor delivery, and match POs with invoices and receipts.
• Collaborate with plant operations to maintain inventory levels of key materials.
• Serve as primary contact for internal customers regarding purchase requests.
• Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts.
• Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and alternative suppliers to support growth.
• Route vendor invoices to accounts payable as appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Research requests to find best pricing and service options and conduct bids as necessary.
