Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Procurement Manager - Contracts Administrator to lead the administration of procurement vendor agreements across the full contract lifecycle. You will collaborate with Legal, Finance, Sales Operations, and vendors to support compliant contracting practices and governance, reporting on renewals, milestones, and risk indicators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or CLM roles.
• Experience with CLM systems, procurement workflows, approvals and templates.
• Familiarity with supplier risk management and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end administration of procurement vendor agreements from intake to renewal or termination.
• Maintain the contract repository with data quality standards and governance.
• Design and improve contract lifecycle workflows for efficient procurement operations.
• Translate category strategies into standardized contract language and clauses.
• Review exceptions and escalate high-risk terms for review.
• Incorporate supplier risk and performance requirements into contracts.
• Produce contract reporting on renewals, spend, SLAs, and risk indicators.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, IT, and Sales Operations.
• Support CLM adoption and process improvements across procurement activities.
• Evaluate AI-enabled tools to enhance contract review and metadata quality.
