Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Procurement Manager - Contracts Administrator to lead end-to-end procurement vendor agreements and drive governance across the contract lifecycle. The role collaborates with Legal, Finance, Sourcing, and Sales Operations to ensure compliant, scalable contracting practices.

Responsibilities include managing workflows, improving metadata, reporting, and ensuring alignment with procurement policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems and procurement workflows.
• Familiarity with supplier risk management and vendor due diligence.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata governance, and contract reporting.
• Experience with CLM platforms, Oracle P2P, intake tools, and e-signature tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end administration of procurement vendor agreements through lifecycle.
• Maintain contract repository with data quality standards and governance.
• Design and improve contract lifecycle workflows for efficiency and control.
• Translate category strategies into standard contract language and templates.
• Review exceptions and escalate high-risk or non-standard terms.
• Incorporate supplier risk and performance requirements into contracts.
• Produce reporting on renewals, milestones, spend, SLAs, and risk indicators.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align contracting with policies.
• Support CLM adoption and improve processes, documentation, and user compliance.
• Evaluate AI-enabled tools to improve contract review and metadata quality.
