Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Procurement Manager - Contracts Administrator to lead the administration of procurement vendor agreements across the contract lifecycle. You will partner with Legal, Finance, and IT to support compliant contracting practices and drive auditable, scalable processes.

You will design workflows, standardize language, and manage risk while leveraging CLM tools and e-signature platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or CLM roles.
• Experience managing procurement contracts across the full lifecycle.
• Knowledge of contract repository management, metadata governance, and data quality.
• Experience with CLM systems, procurement workflows, templates, and compliance practices.
• Familiarity with supplier risk management, vendor due diligence, audit readiness, and controls.
• Experience using procurement and enterprise systems like Oracle P2P, intake tools, and e-signature tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with KPI tracking and trend analysis.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong project management for system implementation and adoption.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end administration of procurement vendor agreements through lifecycle.
• Maintain the contract repository with data quality and governance.
• Design workflows from intake to contract alignment for efficient operations.
• Translate category strategies into standardized contract language and clauses.
• Review exceptions and escalate high-risk terms for review.
• Incorporate supplier risk and performance requirements into contracts.
• Produce reporting on renewals, milestones, spend, SLAs, and risk indicators.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align contracting with policies and approvals.
• Support CLM adoption by improving processes and compliance.
• Evaluate AI-enabled tools to improve review, metadata quality, and efficiency.
