Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day procurement activities: purchase requests, orders, and supplier communications.

Role Summary

The Procurement & Contracts Intern will support Heven AeroTech’s Procurement and Contracts functions by assisting with purchasing activities, supplier and vendor coordination, contract administration, and related documentation. This position provides hands‑on experience in a fast-paced aerospace and technology environment and offers an opportunity to learn how procurement and contracts support engineering, manufacturing, operations, and business objectives.

• Assist with day‑to‑day procurement activities, including purchase requests, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
• Support the procurement team in obtaining and organizing supplier quotes, pricing, and related documentation.
• Assist with vendor and supplier research, onboarding, and information maintenance.
• Help maintain accurate procurement, contract, and supplier records.
• Support contract administration activities, including tracking contract status, expiration dates, deliverables, and required documentation.
• Assist with reviewing contracts and procurement documents for completeness and accuracy under the direction of procurement and contracts personnel.
• Maintain procurement and contract trackers, spreadsheets, and reports.
• Assist with invoice, purchase order, and receiving documentation to support the procure‑to‑pay process.
• Conduct research and analysis to support sourcing, supplier evaluations, and procurement initiatives.
• Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and other materials for procurement and contracts activities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and other cross‑functional teams as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling supplier, pricing, contract, and company information.
• Follow company policies, procedures, purchasing requirements, and applicable compliance standards.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Contract Management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive business information with professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred

• Coursework or experience in procurement, supply chain management, contracts, business law, finance, or accounting.
• Familiarity with purchase orders, vendor management, contracts, or sourcing activities.
• Experience using ERP, procurement, contract management, or other business systems.
• Experience with Excel functions, PivotTables, or data analysis.
• Previous internship, work experience, student organization, or academic project related to procurement, contracts, supply chain, or business operations.
• Interest in aerospace, technology, manufacturing, or government contracting.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to occasionally move throughout office, warehouse, manufacturing, or production environments.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing or production areas.
