Job summary

Heven AeroTech is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team in the design, development, testing, and production of advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS). You will work alongside multidisciplinary engineers on real-world aerospace projects, gaining practical skills in a fast-paced tech environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration across engineering disciplines, and exposure to airframe, propulsion, avionics, software, and flight operations activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recent graduate in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support airframe, propulsion, avionics, software, payload integration, and flight operations.
• Assist with engineering design, testing, data collection, analysis, and documentation.
• Participate in prototype assembly, system integration, and hardware testing.
• Conduct research and technical evaluations to support product development.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, reports, test plans, and documentation.
• Support ground and flight testing under supervision of engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and flight operations.

Role Summary
The Engineering Intern will support Heven AeroTech's engineering team in the design, development, testing, and production of advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This position provides hands‑on experience working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, contributing to real‑world aerospace projects while developing practical engineering skills in a fast‑paced technology environment.

• Support engineering projects related to airframe, propulsion, avionics, software, payload integration, and flight operations.
• Assist with engineering design, testing, data collection, analysis, and documentation activities.
• Participate in prototype assembly, system integration, and hardware testing.
• Conduct research and technical evaluations to support product development efforts.
• Assist with creating and maintaining engineering drawings, reports, test plans, and technical documentation.
• Support ground and flight testing activities under the supervision of engineering personnel.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and flight operations.
• Participate in engineering meetings, design reviews, and project planning discussions.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical information and apply engineering concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast‑paced engineering environment. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to perform the responsibilities of this role.

Preferred

• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or similar tools.
• Experience with engineering projects, robotics, UAS, aerospace systems, or student engineering organizations.
• Familiarity with data analysis, testing methodologies, or technical documentation.
• Basic programming experience in Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar languages.
• Hands‑on experience assembling, troubleshooting, or testing hardware systems.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, operating engineering software, and working with tools or equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in office, laboratory, warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor flight‑test environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during testing and assembly activities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing, laboratory, or flight‑test areas.
