Role Summary

The Business Development Intern will support Heven AeroTech's Growth and Business Development team by assisting with market research, customer and industry analysis, opportunity identification, pipeline management, and business development activities. This position provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace and technology environment and offers the opportunity to learn how organizations identify new business opportunities, develop customer relationships, and support strategic growth initiatives.

• Conduct market, industry, customer, and competitor research to support business development initiatives.
• Assist in identifying and researching potential customers, partners, and business opportunities.
• Support the development and maintenance of business development pipelines, opportunity trackers, and customer databases.
• Research government, commercial, and international opportunities relevant to Heven's products and capabilities.
• Assist with monitoring industry news, market trends, customer priorities, and emerging opportunities.
• Prepare research summaries, briefing materials, presentations, and other business development materials.
• Support the preparation of customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other business development activities.
• Assist with maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
• Support the development of company, customer, and competitive profiles.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Capture, Engineering, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Participate in team meetings and business development strategy discussions.
• Assist with special projects and other initiatives supporting organizational growth.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling customer, company, and business development information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Communications, International Business, Political Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to gather information from multiple sources and summarize findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional and confident communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to perform the responsibilities of this role.

Preferred

• Previous internship, work experience, academic project, student organization, or leadership experience related to business development, sales, marketing, research, or business operations.
• Familiarity with CRM systems or other business development tools.
• Experience conducting market or competitive research.
• Experience preparing presentations or briefing materials.
• Interest in aerospace, defense, UAS, emerging technologies, or government contracting.
• Familiarity with government agencies, government contracting, or federal acquisition processes.
• Experience with data analysis or business intelligence tools.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to occasionally move throughout office, laboratory, warehouse, manufacturing, or production environments.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing or production areas.
