Job summary

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical information and apply engineering concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Role Summary

The Engineering Intern will support Heven AeroTech's engineering team in the design, development, testing, and production of advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This position provides hands-on experience working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, contributing to real-world aerospace projects while developing practical engineering skills in a fast-paced technology environment.

Preferred

• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or similar tools.
• Experience with engineering projects, robotics, UAS, aerospace systems, or student engineering organizations.
• Familiarity with data analysis, testing methodologies, or technical documentation.
• Basic programming experience in Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience assembling, troubleshooting, or testing hardware systems.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.

Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, operating engineering software, and working with tools or equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Ability to work in office, laboratory, warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor flight-test environments.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during testing and assembly activities.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing, laboratory, or flight-test areas.
