Job summary

Arvato is seeking a mid-level corporate attorney to join its Legal Department in New York or other locations. You will draft and negotiate vendor and supplier agreements, support procurement teams, and advise on contract risk and policy matters.

The role involves collaboration with procurement, finance, and business stakeholders to review, draft, and negotiate agreements while managing legal risk and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one US state.
• 2–7 years of hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience with procurement, vendor, supplier, technology, SaaS, or professional services contracts.
• Ability to analyze contract risk and explain implications to non-lawyers.
• Strong writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
• Capable of managing a high-volume contract workload with supervision.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business teams.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate procurement-related and commercial agreements.
• Support sourcing initiatives and manage contractual risk with procurement teams.
• Provide business-focused legal advice on contract terms and risk allocation.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory developments affecting contracts and data protection.
• Assist with employment, compliance, and policy matters with HR.
