Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group is seeking a Category Lead to manage end-to-end procurement for Construction Services and Operations across Bitdeer’s Central & West US sites, including Rockdale, TX, Reno, NV, Wenatchee, WA, with potential additional Texas sites.

The role acts as the primary procurement contact for these sites and as the Tier 1 Category Leader, bridging engineering requirements with commercial execution and driving on-time, on-budget delivery while advancing sustainability goals for

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar field.
• 3–5 years in procurement, supply chain, or a related analytical role (Finance/Operations).
• Requires strong personality for challenging confrontational situations.
• Ability to read a bill of materials (BOM) and understand the difference between critical infrastructure components (e.g., UPS vs. PDU).
• Advanced Excel is a must; experience with SQL or Tableau is a significant advantage in tech-first companies.
• Location: Local to Central Texas (Rockdale/Austin area) with travel to Rockdale, TX and Reno, NV.

Responsibilities

• Leads, develops and executes proactive, TCO-driven sourcing strategies
• Lead or participate in comprehensive bidding, negotiations and contract management
• Manages cross functional internal and external relationships in support of business objectives
• Work with internal stakeholders to optimize specifications / requirements.
• Independently lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including vendor identification, bid leveling, and commercial comparisons.
• Draft and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs) and Amendments, ensuring alignment with Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
• Serve as primary procurement point of contact for assigned sites: attend regular project review meetings, maintain responsive communication with site/project teams.
• Manage the requisition-to-purchase workflow in the system of record along with oversight to the procure-to-pay process.
• Maintain sourcing activity records, active order tracking, and work completion/closure (cradle to grave).

About The Role

The Category Lead supports the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for Construction Services and Operations categories across Bitdeer’s Central & West US sites (currently Rockdale, Texas, Reno, Nevada, Wenatchee, Washington and potential additional Texas sites), serving as the primary procurement contact for those sites and as the Tier 1 Category Leader. The role will bridge the gap between technical engineering requirements and commercial execution, ensuring that high-value equipment and services arrive on site, on time, and within budget. You will innovate through supplier partnerships, driving the sustainability goals required for next-generation data centers.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Location: Prefer candidate local to Central Texas (Rockdale / Austin area); regular travel to Rockdale, TX and periodic travel to Reno, NV required
