The State of Indiana is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the Governance team. You will assist category directors to ensure compliant procurement processes, standardize documentation, and drive improvements in contract management and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of contract management and negotiation principles.
• Ability to develop client relationships, analyze problems, and resolve conflicts.
• Experience drafting complex contracts for commodities and services.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft E-Procurement or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and guidance to staff, vendors, and stakeholders on procurement.
• Assist with contract administration and problem resolution.
• Facilitate communication between vendors, agencies, and employees.
• Maintain vendor contacts to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot procurement system issues and discrepancies.
• Contribute to solutions for improving contract management and supplier performance.
• Create and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses to support changes.
