Indiana Department of Administration is seeking a governance team member to assist category directors in ensuring procurement compliance, standardizing procedures, and identifying improvements within the procurement department.

Key duties include directing staff and vendors, resolving contract issues, and improving supplier performance through data-driven analyses; a degree is not required, but relevant experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of contract management and negotiation principles.
• Ability to develop client relationships, analyze data, and resolve conflicts.
• Experience drafting contracts for commodities and services.
• Familiarity with ERP procurement systems like PeopleSoft preferred.
• No degree required but HS diploma and 3+ years procurement experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, guidance and assistance to agency staff, vendors, and other stakeholders related to procurement.
• Assist with problem resolution and administration of contracts.
• Assist with communication between vendors, the agency, and employees.
• Assist with maintenance of vendor contacts to investigate discrepancies, exchange information, and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot problems related to procurement including system issues or discrepancies.
• Provide input on solutions and suggestions for improvements to administration and execution of contract management, procurement, and supplier performance.
• Create and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative analyses, forming hypotheses, synthesizing conclusions, and assisting to implement change.
