POSITION TYPE: Contract
HOURLY RATE: Up to $70/hr.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst / Zip Administrator to lead the ongoing configuration, integration, and operational support of our enterprise procurement intake platform.
While titled internally under IT Project Management, this is a hands-on platform administration and business systems role. You will serve as the primary administrator for Zip (intake-to-pay orchestration), configuring dynamic procurement workflows, troubleshooting system integrations via REST APIs with SAP (System of Record), and managing high-visibility support across Procurement, Sourcing, Legal, Finance, and Executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Administration & Workflow Configuration
- Own end-to-end administration of the Zip procurement intake platform, including form builder design, dynamic approval routing, conditional logic, and vendor onboarding workflows.
- Partner directly with business stakeholders across Procurement, Sourcing, FP&A, Legal, Security, and IT to translate complex purchasing policies into streamlined, automated intake rules.
- Maintain, test, and optimize procurement routing logic to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce end-to-end purchase cycle times.
Systems Integration & Technical Support:
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve integration issues between Zip and SAP (ERP), ensuring smooth data flow across purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor master records, and budget checks.
- Utilize REST API logs and payload inspectors to trace transactional errors, field mapping discrepancies, and middleware/API call failures.
- Manage production support ticket queues (Jira), executing rapid triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution for end-user intake and approval issues.
Cross-Functional Operations & Continuous Improvement:
- Act as the technical and operational liaison between enterprise procurement teams and back-end IT/SAP developers.
- Document system configurations, integration data maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and end-user guides.
- Design and deliver end-user training and change management initiatives to drive adoption across all business units.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Procurement Systems Administrator, or IT Functional Consultant in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) environments.
- Zip Platform Expertise: Direct experience building, configuring, and administering Zip (ZipHQ) dynamic intake forms, approval matrices, and conditional workflows.
- SAP & P2P Architecture: Strong functional and technical understanding of Procurement processes (Procure-to-Pay, Source-to-Pay) and integration touchpoints with SAP (SAP MM/S/4HANA).
- API Integration Literacy: Demonstrated ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and trace REST APIs, JSON payloads, and enterprise integration touchpoints between cloud intake tools and ERP systems.
- Ticketing & Lifecycle Management: Proficiency with Jira (or similar ITSM platforms) for production triage, bug tracking, and release management.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Superior interpersonal and consultative skills; ability to communicate complex technical diagnostics clearly to non-technical business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with adjacent procurement orchestration systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, Ivalua).
- Prior experience in automotive, EV, high-tech, or enterprise manufacturing environments with high-volume purchasing.
- Certifications in Zip Administration, SAP MM, or Agile/ITIL methodologies.
Work Environment & Onsite Expectations:
- Work Style: Fast-paced, highly collaborative enterprise environment requiring direct daily engagement with cross-functional procurement and business stakeholders.
