Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is seeking a Supervisor, Processing Operations in Farmington Hills, a hybrid role overseeing daily activities of Processing Center teams and ensuring KPI targets are met. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in a business-related area.
• Three years’ experience in an operations environment; two years leadership preferred.
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop employees; knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, insurance products and claims processing.
• Proficiency with desktop software including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates, recommends, and enforces policies, procedures, guidelines and standards of operation; assists in the development and coordination of policies, goals, objectives and strategies.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, supervises, and develops staff to ensure accountability for departmental goals.
• Staffing forecasts, models, overtime and long-range planning; updates headcount and performance data.
• Monitors and adjusts work to meet department goals, including KPI measurement and government guarantees processing.
• Leads team work assignments and continuous improvement of processes; resolves workflow and system issues with other departments.
• Leads end-to-end testing and implementation of new programs and service initiatives; defines test requirements and outcomes.
• Acts as SME for data entry and claims processing systems in the Processing Center.
• Maintains relationships with customers, vendors and internal/external relations related to Data Entry.
• Provides input into budget, contracts, services, and department administration.
• Performs other related duties as necessary.
