Job summary

Vital Farms is hiring a Processing Associate for the Day Shift at Egg Central Station. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility to wash, sort, and pack pasture-raised eggs, bridging family farms to grocery stores.

Expect 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, with both day and night crews. We offer benefits starting the first day of the month, including healthcare, a 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, free eggs, and team perks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons.
• 1 year of work experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
• Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
• Commitment to following all personal safety requirements.
• Be flexible and perform other duties as needed in production tasks.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, basic division).

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and robots to load, sort, and pack eggs.
• Keep sanitary conditions for optimal food production.
• Ensure eggs meet standards by following procedures and performing quality checks.
• Perform inspections on supplies and readiness for use.
• Operate powered jacks to move supplies and products within the warehouse.
• Adapt to other duties as required and stay flexible.

What You'll Do (Job Overview):

As a Processing Associate - Day Shift at Vital Farms, you will work within our state-of-the-art manufacturing and production facility to wash, sort, and pack our pasture-raised eggs from our family farms. This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You'll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air-conditioned and sunlight-filled warehouse.

• 2-2-3 schedule : 2-week cycle
• Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
• Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off
• Shifts: 12 hour shifts
• Day Crew - 6am to 6pm
• Night Crew- 6pm to 6am
