Job summary

Vital Farms is hiring a Processing Crew Lead to bridge local family farms with grocery stores while maintaining safety and quality in a large, climate-controlled warehouse.

You will organize workflow, set daily objectives, lead and develop operators, and coordinate with shift supervisors to meet production goals. The role requires leadership, English fluency, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a 12-hour Day Crew shift.

• 1 year of work experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

• Lead and develop operators, creating equipment and system ownership.
• Work directly with shift supervisors and managers to regulate production and meet goals.
• Evaluate job performance of operators.
• Ensure all personnel safety and food safety procedures are followed rigorously.
• Drive continuous improvement of waste elimination.
• Anticipate problems and make quick decisions under time pressure.
• Must be able to perform all jobs on the lines and be able to coach others in work.
• Lead daily direction setting meetings when required.
• Provide verbal and/or written recommendations to supervisor concerning problems or issue.

As a Processing Crew Lead at Vital Farms

This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You’ll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air‑conditioned and sunlight‑filled warehouse. 2-2-3 schedule:

• Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
• Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off

Shifts:

• Day Crew – 6am to 6pm

Pay Rate:

• Day Crew- $22.25 per hour

What You'll Do:

What You Bring to the Table:

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons
• 1 year of work experience in a production and or manufacturing environment
• You’re able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs
• You’re committed to following all personal safety requirements rigorously.
• Be flexible and execute other duties and production tasks required.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, basic division)
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Able to be certified to operate a forklift or pallet jack
• Able to perform quality/procedural checks as well as operate equipment.
• Proven experience in leadership/supervisory roles.
• Strong people skills and ability to deal with all levels of employee and management groups. both on site and remote.
