Job summary

Corning is seeking a manufacturing support engineer to perform technical duties across manufacturing processes. You will collect data, troubleshoot equipment, and work with engineers to drive yield improvements and cost reductions.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, 2–5 years in manufacturing, and strong mechanical and analytical skills. Expect standard M–F hours with occasional off-shift support.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Computer literacy and technical curiosity.
• Strong process and product knowledge.
• Independent problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
• Support process improvement, cost reduction, and yield improvement projects.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing and customer data.
• Support equipment testing, installation, repairs, and upgrades.
• Partner with engineers on new processes, equipment, and projects.
• Promote safety and compliance with equipment and environmental standards.
• Provide project timelines, resources, and technical documentation.
• Lead or direct trades and contract personnel as needed.
