Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement and optimize our manufacturing operations. You will lead projects that enhance equipment capability, reduce costs, and support new product integration—directly boosting efficiency and competitiveness.

This role requires a BS or MS in engineering and 4+ years in manufacturing, with strong data analysis, Excel, and Minitab skills. Occasional travel up to 25% is expected across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical or Ceramic Engineering or other Engineering BS/MS with 4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong data analysis and statistical skills; proficient with Excel, Access, and Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering-level production support and engage in plant safety initiatives and projects.
• Diagnose and resolve process issues through data analysis and experimentation; collaborate with SMEs.
• Lead cost reduction, process optimization and new product introduction projects.
• Develop and maintain systems to monitor equipment and process performance, including trend analysis.
• Receive and integrate new technologies with proper process transfer protocols.
