Process Tech. (Contract/Food Science)

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with an established chemical manufacturer in the East Hanover, NJ area, is seeking a sharp Process Tech to join their flavor production team on a contract basis. Training will be provided!

Location: East Hanover, NJ
Hours: 8am-4:30pm, M-F. Fully onsite.
Pay Rate: $20-22/hr
Contract Duration: 6 months with potential to extend.

Process Tech Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Yield Assessment on high loss sectors—analyze yields and losses in filtration and packing areas.
2. Complete time studies in specific production areas/sectors.
3. Identify bottlenecks and collaborate on improvement ideas.
4. Work with production/Process Tech team on findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or Associate Degree) in chemistry, food science, chemical engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong technical background with the ability to learn production processes and equipment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Dependability, effective communication skills, and good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Creative and objective thinking skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP and other ERP systems is a plus.
