Job summary

Snap Lock Industries in Salt Lake City seeks a Process Technician to support injection molding operations within a team-based manufacturing facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot molding lines, and help optimize processes to ensure high-quality parts are produced efficiently.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance of industrial equipment, proper documentation of parameters, and collaboration with production and tooling teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years in manufacturing facility maintenance, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment.
• 2 years experience with injection molding.
• Knowledge of chilled water systems.
• Experience with lathes, grinders, micrometers, and calipers; hand tools and hand power tools.
• Electrical knowledge in control circuits.
• Forklift Certification (willing to certify).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety requirements and policies; correct issues when found.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair molding process equipment and supporting systems.
• Perform general maintenance on manufacturing plant equipment.
• Support preventative maintenance initiatives and daily repairs of molding equipment.
• Operate production equipment start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Document and optimize molding parameters based on scientific molding principles.
• Identify and address injection molding defects; adjust as needed.
• Assist with mold and insert changes per production schedule.
• Collaborate with team members and supporting departments to meet production goals.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and ISO standards.

Job description

We are seeking a Process Technician looking to grow with us! You will work within a team to ensure various machines successfully complete key processes and produce high quality parts. You would be primarily working with injection molding machines at our facility in Salt Lake City.

Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates relocating from outside the area as a one-time $5,000.00 bonus paid after six months of service.

Available Shifts:

3rd Shift: 10 PM to 6:30 AM ($2.50/hr shift differential on top of base pay)

Your Day to Day

• Follow all safety requirements, policies, and takes action to correct issues when found
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all items related to the molding process and supporting equipment
• General maintenance duties relating to the manufacturing plant
• Support preventative maintenance initiatives and daily repair of auxiliary and molding equipment
• Function effectively in a team environment
• Startup and shutdown of all production equipment and systems
• Utilize scientific molding principals to create and document molding parameters
• Identify and diagnose injection molding defects and make adjustments
• Develop improvements to the molding process and tooling performance
• Assists with mold changes and insert changes per the production schedule
• Work with team members and supporting departments such as process technicians, tooling, production, and supervisors
• Support production and follow all company policies relating to safety, quality, and ISO

What We Would Love About You

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
