Job summary

Pmm---America is seeking a Process Technician to manage and adjust all processes for plastic injection molding and to perform daily checks on molds, machines, robots and related equipment. The role emphasizes starting up and restarting production after mold changes and ensuring optimum cycle times.

You will work with material handlers, operators and technicians, supervise the shift, assign work, and assist across Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve production issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Process Technician for plastic injection molding
• Ability to follow established procedures / specifications and maintain accurate records
• Team player with supervisory and training experience
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Purpose & Scope:

This role is responsible for managing and adjusting all processes for plastics injection molding machines as well as performing daily checks on molds, machines, robots, and other related equipment.

Essential Duties May Include:

• Complete plastic molding machine production start-ups and re-starts, after mold changes.


• Implement established processes for new and existing molds to run at optimum cycles.


• Partner with material handlers, operators, and other technicians to keep machines running.


• Assign operators work as instructed.


• Assist Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance and Engineering in resolving any issues with production process, troubleshoot and find solutions.


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.


• Supervise shift and leading team-members.

Physical Demands of position:

• The ability to manage several projects at one time with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.


• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment.


• Occasional need to bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, and lift, up to 50 lbs.


• Frequent walking / standing.

• 8 hour shift


• Monday to Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm


• 2nd shift

Requirements
