Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering with five years chemical processing or refinery experience preferred, or a B.S. in another engineering/technical discipline with five years in a chemical processing/refining environment in plant technical support role.
• Minimum of ten years of experience with chemical processing or refining operations/process service is required without a degree.
• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the efforts of the Process Engineering group in applying chemical engineering principles to process optimization, troubleshooting, design and development for plant unit operations.
• Manage the efforts of the Process Controls group in maintaining, developing, and troubleshooting facility DCS, SIS and PLC I/O.
• Direct supervisory responsibility of the QC Lab Supervisor in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and laboratory quality management.
• Direct and manage Information Technology department and personnel and maintain responsibility for all IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate process technical support activities for process operations, aligning priorities between process engineering, controls, IT and laboratory.
• Monitor gaps and initiate process operations improvements based on metrics for safety, environment, product quality and production targets.
• Interface with facility staff to ensure needs of Operations, Maintenance/Engineering/Purchasing, Safety/HSE, Process Safety and IT are met.
• Interface with corporate segments to support initiatives and programs including S&OP, Raw Material Qualification, Product Quality Reviews, Budget.
• Ensure training and qualification needs are met for all reports.
• Exemplify professional, safe work habits and build good relationships with coworkers and customers.
